 How do you use a single-use peptide injection pen / insulin pen? 

The pen is used with a pre-loaded 3ml sterile cartridge containing a peptide that has already been reconstituted.

Before you start, make sure you work cleanly and use sterile supplies.

Insert the cartridge into the pen and screw on a new needle. Always use a new needle for each application. Remove the outer needle guard and keep it. Then remove the inner needle guard and discard it.

Turn the pen’s dispenser all the way. Hold the pen with the needle pointing upwards and tap gently to collect any air bubbles.

Press the dispenser button until a drop appears at the tip of the needle. (You may need to repeat this step several times depending on the amount of peptide in the cartridge)

Turn the dispenser to the desired dose. One unit of the pen corresponds to one unit of a standard insulin syringe.

After use, remove the needle and unscrew it using the outer guard. Dispose of it safely. Do not store the pen with the needle attached. Store the pen according to the requirements of the peptide being used.
