1. Wash and dry your hands
2. Attach the cartridge holder to the pen
3. Attach a new needle by removing the protective seal, pressing the needle onto the holder and carefully screwing it into place
Important! Do not mix the powder and diluent without a needle attached. Also, NEVER unscrew or press the pen plunger during assembly and reconstitution
4. Hold the pen vertically with the needle pointing upward. Turn the cartridge holder counterclockwise until the “B” mark clicks into the slot. This movement pushes the diluent into the chamber containing the lyophilized peptide and initiates reconstitution.
5. After mixing, DO NOT shake the pen. Gently tilt it from side to side until the powder has completely dissolved. The solution should become clear and free of visible particles.
6. Next, remove the air. Hold the pen again with the needle pointing upward and gently tap the cartridge holder to move the air toward the top.
7. Then turn the cartridge holder counterclockwise again until “C” clicks into the slot. At this point, a small amount of liquid may appear at the needle tip.
8. The pen is ready for laboratory use.
